Citat från: "EvilSpook"Looking forward to "Zulu alert" - do you have any status information?
(You probably should update airbattle.co.uk btw)...

I'm not sure when I'll get back to Zulu Alert. The game is too complex at present to be played without computer assistance. Too much math. It would take a long time to play.

I might figure it out eventually.

In the meantime I am focussing on Nightfighter and Bomber Command. I imagine that will keep me occupied until at least 2011.  :)

Citat från: "Anders Fager"What brought you to misserable Malmö?

Work.

Hey, surely Malmö is not that miserable? It looked like a piece of quite pleasant mittel Europa when I visited for the interview!

Never mind him, he only says that because he has lived there

Malmö is indeed your typical European city, unlike basically every other city in Sweden. Summer weather is nice, the winters aren't much to speak of, but you're from England so you should be used to it. It's a great place to be situated if you're into birdwatching. But I've yet to meet another birdwatching wargamer. Not so good if you like hiking in the countryside, but for that, there's always the rest of Sweden.

The sex was great, everything else was pretty horrible.

And to be honest, Möllevången is a pretty uniqiue area. The wierdness there is incredible.

That's around the Folkets Park, right? What's so unique about that area? (He said, interested.)

I'm still a designer. I will be working for Massive Entertainment as a games designer.

I make games in my day job and also in my spare time.

And of course there's all those murders. I've seen all those Wallander movies!

Don't believe Mankell for a seccond. Ystad is not the second most dangerous place on earth (after Midsummer). Niether are all people in Skåne upper-class, neo-nazis with stocks in south african plantations.

It is just the wierd cultural mix. It is the only place in sweden where imigrants from "other cultures" (not finns) has not been successfully contained in projcets outside the nicer parts of cities. Möllevången looks a bit like a mix of Neuköln and some shabby London market like the worse parts of Portobello topped with a icing of Swedish artist, junkie and leftist riff-raff. All while the buildings in the area ave very pretty.

I wrote this post in English first, and then wrote it in Swedish to see how good Google could translate it. Gosh! It's really good (or my Swedish very simple)!:

We're a bunch of players that for the moment plays Case Blue in an old bomb shelter in a basement in Malmö (vic. of Folkets Park). The game is on a summer's break though. We welcome new players (I think ;) )

My Swedish:

Vi är ett gäng gamers som för närvarande spelar Case Blue i ett gammalt skyddsrum i närheten av Folkets Park i Malmö.  Vi har dock en paus för sommaren just nu. Vi välkomnar alltid fler spelare (tror jag).

Google's transalation:
We are a bunch of gamers who currently plays Case Blue in an old bomb shelter in the vicinity of Folkets Park in Malmö. However, we have a break for the summer right now. We always welcome more players (I think).
Funderar mest på (spelar mindre): Europa Universalis. Mud & Blood. 1914: Twilight in the East

There is a Swedish TV-series with police in Strömstad, which ran for a few seasons. I think they had at least one murder in every episode, which is pretty impressive for a town with 7000 people.

In fact they are mostly peasant neo-nazis ;-)
