Inte riktigt hela sanningen. Hapsburg är allierad med Påven och Frankrike. Men Frankrike och Påven är i krig.

Kort sammanfattning fram till T3.

Ottomanen: Erövrat Belgrad och Budapest. I krig med Hapsburg. Har samlat en GIGANTISK armé i Istanbul.

Hapsburg: Erövrat Metz. Allierad med Frankrike. I krig med Ottomanen och Protestanterna. Etablerat kolonin Cuba och gjort ett misslyckat försök till Världsomsegling.

England: Erövrat Edinburgh, i krig med Frankrike. Fått tillåtelse av Påven att skiljas.

Frankrike Kontrollerar Venice och allierad med Hapsburg. I krig med England och Påven.

Papal States: Erövrat Florence, i krig med Protestanterna och Frankrike.

Protestanterna:  Schmalkadic league spelad. Konverterat i stort sett hela Tyskland. Bara Brunswick, Bremen och "Österrike" är kvar.

Turn 3. 1st Impulse pågår.

Jag är för närvarande inblandat i ett parti PBEM Here I Stand och skriver log till detta på Consimworld. Säkerligen finns det någon som är nyfiken av att ta en titt här så jag delar frikostigt med mig! Då jag blivit lite bränd av den överdrivet utförliga WiF loggen (som skrivs på Ylvas forum) så har jag övergått till lite mer skönlitterärt summerande istället. Håll till godo CDG fans.

*Luther is flawless in his 95 theses and converts Magdeburg, Brandenburg, Leipzig, Erfurt, and Lübeck. Along with a very sucessful Diet of Worms (Cahtolics plays 1 and 2 CP cards while protestant plays a 5) the areas of Nuremberg, Mainz and Augsburgs are also converted giving the protestants a very strong start.

*The Ottoman empire expands to include Belgrade after a perfect siege/assault without losses.

*The French and Hapsburg deploys a good part of their forces around the Metz area. The French for defensive purposes it is claimed and Hapsburg to take the independent key, an undertaking Hapsburg does not falter in. The defenders of Metz makes the campaign costly for Hapsburg however as one mercenary and one regular perish in the assault.

*Hapsburg plays Barbary pirates with a heavy heart. Having held the card however has given him the time to prepare and build his fleet, which is now conveniently patrolling every sector of the western Mediterranean.

*England declares war on Scotland, and by extension France. The English army is however forced to split their forces as France supports a rebellion in Ireland. The English leader Brandon is sent to take care of the Irish upstarts along with 3 mercenaries and a regular troop.

*The Pope does next to nothing to hamper the protestant call that sweeps through the German language zone. At the end of Turn 1 the protestants controls no less than 19 areas! At the same time in Italy the Papacy has readied a respectable army for its actions.

*As their last action France reveals that Andrea Doria, is on their side and with him the province of Genoa. Having allied to the Scots and thus put Edinburgh under their command the two keys gained this turns gives France an extra card for the next turn.

*Calm seas, splendid weather, good wind and tons and tons of sheer luck makes the explorers and conquistador bound for the New World tremendously succesful. Verrano sucessfully circumnavigates for the French and brings back a cargo hold full of spices no less. Hapsburg with DeSoto is eligible for a circumnavigation but has to settle for the Amazon River as France has beat him to it. Cabot that has been hired by the English is ALSO eligible for a circumnavigation but will have discover the paltry St. Lawrence River with all the true wonders of the new world already discovered. Cortez, true to his reputation comes crashing down on the Aztecs for even more european presence in the Americas. We're on Turn 1 and the incentive to discover the New World for the rest of the game has essentially been wiped out!

Right now we are on Turn 2, impulse 1 and the Ottomans have just lost the field battle over Budapest despite bringing Suleiman, 11 troops and commiting their Janissaries to the battlefield! Since the Ottoman didn't pay 1 CP to convert Mohacs which they moved to in order to get to Budapest, their entire remaining army of 8 troops are eliminated and both their army leaders Suleiman and Ibrahim Pasha are captured!

The popping sound you hear is Charles V breaking out the champagne in Vienna.

England on the other hand has the challenging task of waging war on three fronts; Scotland, Ireland and Francis I that has spring deployed with 5 regulars to the gates of Calais.
