I'm starting to get an army together to play some Force on Force rules here in Malmo.

My oppo Thomas is painting up some USMC, Iraqis and Fedayeen to start working out way through the 'Road to Baghdad' scenarios.

However, I've been investing in some squaddies and Terry Taliban to do some Operation Herrick scenarios. I've recently been watching videos of the Garmsir battles, and have some WMIKs ready to paint up. But Musa Qala, Sangin, Kajaki and suchlike are all good subjects for battles.

Jag har börjat ett projekt att spela Conflict of Heroes med 6mm och 5 cm breda hexar. Beställt infanteri från Adler, vagnar från CinC och terräng från främst Timecast.

Försöker hålla projektet till att vara enkelt, billigt och snabbspelat.

WMIKs and Technicals are assembled and primed. Will be doing a painting session this weekend.

There was a good documentary on the BBC last night about the 1 Royal Anglian and one of its earliest engagements in Helmand. A nice anatomy of a contact, in sufficient detail that one could generate a scenario from it.

Spent a happy afternoon painting modern squaddies with Thomas. They will look sweet when complete. Once I have the squaddies done then it'll be finishing off the Talibs and then I'll be ready to have some rocking contacts in Helmand.

I've been so busy pushing Bomber Command out of the door that i've neglected my army. I have a few more Talibs and Toms to paint up just to flesh out the numbers. I also have some vehicles on the block. I have a Mastiff and a WMIK Jackal to assemble and paint, and when I was in Japan a few weeks back I picked up a Warrior and a Predator drone.

I need to finish making up some terrain, too.
