My main experience so far is Steps of our Fathers, where counterattacks are out of the question even against the airborne troops during the surprise period, and after that they haven't got a single spare artillery grenade because they are being pummelled by a massivf wall of WP units. I'm hoping that scenario doesn't show the game from its best side as there is very little room for naneuver and a ton of mindless grinding WW1 like combat.
