Citat från: "Mode"What about Mahmoud? It would be interesting to be able to hunt the hunters with NF Mossies.

I've treated Mahmoud the same as the Serrate and Perfectos missions, which is to say they appear as card plays. The reason for this is that the sortie and success rates for these missions was so small. They were really events happening at the periphery and so I don't represent them as full-on raids or units.

Well, I guess I'll have to satisfy that particular craving in Nightfighter then ...

I hope you can convince GMT to improve the box cover art. Downtown is slightly uninspiring, Nightfighter looks absolutely boring (at least for now), the Ahit on the Elusive Victory box art is ridiculously overloaded with ordnance of a questionable nature - and what about those bombing targets?
The Burning Blue, on the other hand, looks quite OK, even though it is not of the same quality as Over the Reich, Achtung - Spitfire!, Flight Leader or Birds of Prey to name but a few of the most outstanding examples of air game covers. I have a firm belief in good cover art as a selling argument - and bad cover art as the opposite!

I'm not fond of Downtown's box art either. The Burning Blue was an old piece of art that Rodge dug up from the Japanese edition of Their Finest Hour. If you notice it has a lot of things wrong with it, not least the wrong engines on the Heinkels.

There is no Nightfighter box art yet. Only my promotional art, which was done by me and which I like!    :)

No, I didn't notice that, but I cannot claim any expertise on German bombers - identifying the general type is about all I can manage. I'm resonably proficient in identifying Bf 109 variants though - from a model builder perspective.

I guess I ought to pledge allegiance to the pointy-nose society ...

Be grateful for that. My parents were great experts, having been on the receiving end of them.

Now that I have my internets I have been working on an overhaul of the game. Nothing huge but certainly some significant changes intended to generate more Tame Boar infiltrations and victories.

Next step will be to put some time aside to build a new playtest set locally.

Beeing a retired Air Force officer, I have a strong interest in games covering war in the air and have over the years aquired a few of them (AH Luftwaffe, VG RAF, GMT DiF series,  BB, Downtown, EV). Unfortunately I have not played them that much but they are all very interesting study material. I am very much looking forward to Nightfighter, have preordered it, and BC. Whish you the very best of luck in you efforts with these games.

Thanks. I am trying to work on subjects that have not really been covered before. Even The Burning Blue was a game at a level of detail never-before-covered.

A lot of work is going on at the moment in beta test on the game. I am currently working out a lot of knots in the system. Good progress is being made.

Now that Nightfighter is off at the printers, for a release next month or in June, I can turn my eye, Sauron-like, back to this thing.

At least in theory. However, little jobs keep getting in the way. I'm currently reading a draft of Dave Isby's new book for him. And there is always the everpresent distraction of MMOs...

Ooh! And I'm just one pre-order shy at making the P500!

C'mon, is there anyone here willing to jump in and push me over the 500 mark?

Looks like the game should be out in March 2012. I'm just working up the final game art now.

Oops. Sudden redesign of the way the bomber stream mechanism works. I think I've licked it but there's going to be some intense last-minute testing of the new system.

The game should be shipping mid-March. Looking forward to this.
