I helgens Vinterkriget roade några av oss med att slakta Nordstatare. De är dock av en annan åsikt.

Jonas initiativ till ett CWRS spel föll väl ut och nu vill jag starta en diskussion om TTS.

Although he was three quarter of a mile south of the Brotherton road and the nearest Federals, Liddell formed his two brigades in line of battle on the spot, with Gowan on the left and Walthall on the right and advancing north tought the forest.
The division passed Winfrey house, five hundred yards from Scribners unexpecting Federals. They dressed theri lines and capped the rifles.
Through an administrative error, the brigade had drawn ammunition too large for the bores of the 0.57 caliber Enfields. Many of the rifles choked after firing only a few rounds. While the men loaded and cursed their weapons, Walthall gathered the regimental commanders.They would not stop to return fire. He would not repeat their mistake of Wilson and Ector. The brigade was to hold its fire and advance at double-quick until within one hundred yards of the enemy, at which point the men were to drop to the ground and rest. At Walthall's commenad the entire line were to rise up and rush th enemy without firing.

Walthalls brigad svepte bort Scribners och Startweathers brigader och stannade inte förrän en kilometer bort genom skogen i kontakt med Van Derveers bridgad som hade blivit förvarnade.

Jag tror det var detta som Roger vill lyckas med i helgen. Vi charge:ade dock inte så offensivt som i verkligheten!

Dean Essig's gamla vanliga svar angående regeltolkningar. Han har för länge sedan givit upp försök att skriva vattentäta regler. Och jag förstår honom... Så för er som har svårt att spela efter Gamer-regler...

While I appreciate that there are those who might not be familiar with my reliance on wargamer common sense and love of history (over simple winning) and that there are others who will never agree with me on those principles...

@Roger - detta är ingen pik efter vår orderdiskussion. 1.Corps manöver var helt laglig, både ur regelsynpunkt och ur ett historiskt perspektiv.

Givetvis är problemet med krigsspel att spelaren har för god överblick över fiendens positioner. När jag spelar CWB/RRS eller TCS försöker jag i stor utsträckning att "rollspela"... Det beror väl i stor utsträckning på att jag har spelat så mycket solitärt.
