En polare har ett ex någonstans i de nedre kulturlagren i lägenheten. Han skaffade det nog när vi spelade SPI:Firefight som mest där i slutet av 70-talet. Misstänker att det är mer eller mindre opunchat. Skulle kunna se om han kan ta med det till LinCon. Ingen större chans att han är inläst på reglerna dock.

Cityfight, och andra dubbelblind spel,  borde gå utmärkt att spela på distans. Man använder MSN, Skype eller liknande för kommunikation mellan spelarna och var sin sluten session av t ex ACTS för tärningsslag och dokumentation.

När partiet är slut öppnar man ACTS session för att redovisa vad man gjort.

I still have my copy of Cityfight. It's a fascinating game, based on the old Firefight system, but with a lot of stuff piled on. Essentially it is a simple chassis with a LOT of chrome. Too much maybe.

Of course, i love blind and double-blind and anything that screws up the players with fog of war. I enjoy watching players make mistakes and become victim to their fears and imaginary phantoms. Cityfight has that in spades.

The issues with enemies being able to move in plain sight are well documented. However, the rules allowed for a referee, who could have been able to resolve many of the open sight issues easily.

I didn't have a lot of problem with unit ratings, other than there are too many of them (the book of orders of battle is HUGE). And when you get to these sort of point blank ranges I'm not sure there difference between tank guns matter as much.

I need to pick my copy out again but I reckon this might make a good convention game. On the face of it that may seem nuts, because the system IS complex. But if you have a referee moderate it and pull players in with some of the simpler scenarios without the whistles and bells, you might have something that would be entertaining to kibbitz on.
